Today saw the greatest challenge as we completed the 13.5 walk from Kirk Yetholm to our base in Wooler.
The weather was cool but dry as we left Kirk Yetholm after morning prayer.
This was the start of the long climb over the Cheviot hills to the tiny hamlet of Hethpool. Here we stopped for lunch and the recital of the rosary.
Graham Sivills at last managed to get some aerial shots from his drone before the group continued their trip across the hills to Wooler.
We managed to arrive safely at 5.00pm despite facing up to the challenges of slippy muddy slopes, puddles, bracken and even the occasional snake!
